Sawtooth Range Riders
By Vernal Express, Empire Courier, Mrs. Ed Robinett
"Cowboy on Way to New York on a Bull, Stops In Vernal for Repairs"
Article from the Vernal Express, dated June 9, 1938
Two cowboys, The Sawtooth Range Riders, Ted Terry and Vick Lusk, are now 600 miles on their way to New York, riding a Durham and Hereford bull across the country. They started their trip in Ketchum, Idaho, in Sun Valley Idaho. Starting September 15th, they rode as far as Layton, Utah, and stored the bull, horse and mule for the winter. They went to Arizona until last May.
After breaking the bull again, they resumed their journey, fixing up a small cart to haul their equipment. They are traveling U.S. 40 to Denver, making a livelyhood by selling pictures of the expedition, and singing and playing the mandolin and guitar as they travel along. They expect to reach New York in 1939 for the World's Fair.
A third partner, H.G. Wood of Boise, Idaho was called on a mission for the LDS church and is leaving Salt Lake this week for California.
They will leave Vernal as soon as the bull is re-shoed. It may also be necessary to break the animal again.
Bull Riders Entertain At Stopping Points
Empire Courier June 22, 1938
Article written by Mrs. Ed Robinett
The people of Western Moffat County have enjoyed the visit and entertainment of Ted Terry and Vick Lusk , "The Sawtooth Range Riders" who are riding a bull from Sun Valley, Idaho, to the World's Fair in New York.
Tuesday night neighbors gathered at Wiley's Resort and enjoyed a musical program given by the boys. The clever pony, "Silver Sally" also performed by doing serveral
tricks.
The next night was spent at Pop's Place, and getting an early start Thursday morning they reached Skyline station for breakfast, after which they also played and sang. Then they journeyed on and arrived at Ed Robinett's home for lunch and during the evening friends gathered again to hear these talented boys entertain.
These boys made many friends while here, as all admired their talent and fine personalities-and we are sure with their splendid attitude and determination they will succeed in their undertaking.

| Ted Terry and Vick Lusk, who are riding a bull from Sun Valley, Idaho, to New York City, by way of a publicity stunt, arrived in Craig this forenoon.
In the party is a talented horse and a dog in addition to the men and the bull.
The men entertain as they go and make an official visit to each governor in the capitol cities through which they pass.
